Youth & Family Ministries

CB Northwest, through our Youth and Family Ministries Department, seeks to come alongside churches and assume a supporting role in your ministry - providing support for your church's ongoing mission, instead of asking you to support ours.

Our Youth and Family Ministries Department provides conferences and retreats with the expressed intention of serving your church. So often, the most valuable time within ministry occurs during extended time away from everyday life. Our desire is to help pastors and leaders maximize this relational time with students. Each of our events allows churches to focus their energy into the relational impact of a given trip - leaving all the logistical details to us. This enables pastors and leaders to spend more time equipping parents and staff, with less time given to planning the hundreds of details that go into even the simplest of retreats.

Although each of our programs is unique, the basic goal is the same: to serve our covenant community of churches by providing you with experiences conducive to intersecting the truth of Jesus Christ with relational connection.

Summer Camp

6/24/12-8/17/12 at Camp Tadmor

Climb until it hurt and then keep going. A climber is not one who looks at the mountain; he is one who climbs it. This year we will push the limits as we explore and experience the adventure of the mission that only God could place us on. You will be called you to lay your TV remote down, get off the couch and join in with all that you have. It will engage you at your deepest core. The Journey will not be simple, but will lead you to experience immense beauty, overwhelming joy and grace beyond understanding as you journey not on your own, but with all the power of heaven on your side. At Tadmor, our desire is to help you develop a passion as you gain a deeper understanding of the mission you have been called to.

Sons of Thunder

This gathering is aimed at providing a space for the men of your church to live out their calling of healthy fatherhood. The weekend is not driven by new information on how to be a father or son, but by intentional experiences that allow you to be dad and boys to be son’s as God intended. This is also a great event to bring the boys that God has put in your path who do not have a father in their home.

This event has been growing because of the powerful impact on hundreds of fathers and sons. This year we are offering a third weekend at Camp Elkanah. Eastern Oregon’s Camp Elkanah is a natural fit for this kind of even and a second location puts this opportunity in the backyard of many more churches. Each year you send your child to camp. This year why not come WITH your camper? The new WITH WEEK gives you just that opportunity. As a parent, foster parent, grandparent, coach, mentor, or Sunday school teacher, you will be able to join in the fun at camp this summer, engage with your camper, bring their friends, play in the lake, soar on the giant swing, and help them win the championship. Get on their level, throw them in the mud pit and jump in yourself. Let them see you as a leader who truly wants a relationship with them. WITH WEEK gives you the opportunity to share experiences and develop relationships that will last a lifetime.
